Dakota Smith is an apparel and accessories company that combines
Southwestern charm, Santa Fe
style and a James Dean-inspired
Route 66 mentality to off a variety of products,
including apparel, luggage, sculptures and eyewear.
Dakota Smith Eyeglasses are designed to capture that
American free spirit and independence from the old west. Their Southwestern designs are forward
thinking, pushing the envelope of frame styles.
Signature is the licensed manufacturer of Dakota Smith
Eyeglasses.
Based out of Los
Angeles, California,
Signature Eyewear sees eyeglasses and sunglasses as the ultimate fashion
statement. Licensed brands manufactured
by Signature Eyewear include Laura Ashley, Nicole Miller, Eddie Bauer, Dakota
Smith, bebe, Hart Schaffner & Marx, and General Motors' Hummer.
Signature Eyewear also makes there own line of of frames
through contract manufacturers in Hong Kong. In 2003 Chairman Richard Torre obtained
roughly 28% of Signature Eyewear from former CEO Bernard Weiss.
