Eastern States Eyewear is the licensed manufacturer of Police Eyeglasses. Eastern States Eyewear came found distinction in the early 1980's with the popularity of the Cazal collection, introduced in 1976 and embraced by inner-city youth who made the zyl designs a status symbol. Founded by Benjamin Shyer in 1938, Eastern States Eyewear started as a distributor of ophthalmic products and, over the years, evolved into the exclusive importing of international collections of eyewear for men and women. Today, Eastern States Eyewear is the exclusive distributor of five luxury collections (including Diva, Jaguar and Police brands) and co-distributor of two Cazal collections.
