Louis Vuitton Sunglasses
Louis Vuitton is more than one hundred years old. Established in 1854, the company made their name manufacturing luggage for the upper class, creating the first flat-topped trunks. Trunks had always been made with a rounded top to help rain runoff, which prevented stacking. In 1987, Louis Vuitton merged with Moet Hennesy to form LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey). In 1998, LVMH introduced the fashion of Marc Jacobs to the world. Currently owned by President Yves Carcelle, Louis Vuitton offers luggage, clothing, handbags, shoes, perfume and sunglasses.
Louis Vuitton Sunglasses are offered in a wide range of aviator style sunglasses and oversized styles. They are known for their bold designs and daring detailing. Celebrities spotted wearing Louis Vuitton Sunglasses are Jessica Simpson, Uma Thurman and Denise Richards. The Louis Vuitton "Monogram Canvas" design can be considered the very first "designer label" on a product, as it was created in 1896 with the intent of preventing counterfeiting. Ironically, the Monogram Canvas that is so counterfeited and famous was not created until after Louis Vuitton's death, when it was created by his son, Georges.
