The lens material, tetrafilcon A, is a hydrophilic random terpolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and methylmethacrylate joined in a three dimensional network of terpolymer chains by divinylbenzene cross-links.
