These lenses are designed to be worn continuously, even while napping and sleeping. Air Optix Night & Day Aqua contact lenses do not require daily cleaning or disinfection when worn continuously for up to 30 nights. However, contact lenses removed between replacement times must be cleaned and disinfected before reinsertion.

The lens material is approximately 24% water and 76% lotrafilcon A, a fluorosilicone containing hydrogel which is surface treated.
