Bushnell Performance Optics manufactures binoculars, telescopes, laser-guided rangefinders, night vision products, riflescopes, holographic gun sights, and other high-end optical equipment as well as Bolle ski goggles and sunglasses, H20Optix water sports sunglasses, and Serengeti all-purpose sunglasses.
The company was founded by Dave Bushnell in 1947 and has offices in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and the US. Bushnell is owned by Wind Point Partners, a private equity firm who acquired the company in 1999. Serengeti Sunglasses use their patented technology to provide you with crisp, clear vision while filtering out harmful UV rays that can fatigue or damage your eyes. The Spectral Control System is an adapting smart lens technology that works with your eyes to give you a high level of comfort in any situation. Serengeti Sunglasses are made with scratch resistant and polarized lenses that eliminate glare. They are also available as prescription eyewear. Bushnell is the parent company of Serengeti Sunglasses.
