Founded in 1979, CooperVision is a division of CooperCompanies (COO) and markets a broad range of contact lenses throughout the world. CooperVision is one of two divisions making up CooperCompanies, the other being CooperSurgical, which supplies medical devices, diagnostic products, and surgical instruments and accessories that are primarily used by gynecologists and obstetricians.

In 2004 CooperVision acquired Ocular Sciences Inc., maker of Biomedics 38, Biomedics 55 and Biomedics 55 Premier contact lenses.

CooperVision is the world's largest manufacturer of toric contact lenses for patients suffering from astigmatism. Based in Irvine, California, CooperVision has factories in numerous parts of the world.

Their soft toric lenses are made in Rochester, New York. Custom toric lenses, along with sphere lenses, are manufactured in Huntington Beach, California. CooperVision's Hampshire, England factory produces planned replacement lenses.

Toric contact lenses manufactured by CooperVision include the Encore Toric and the Frequency 55 Toric.

CooperVision also offer color contact lenses for patients who want to alter the color of their eyes. CooperVision has the exciting colored lenses Expressions that produce a more natural, realistic eye color change along with the Natural Touch opaque lenses.
