In 2004 CooperVision acquired Ocular Sciences Inc., maker of Biomedics 38, Biomedics 55 and Biomedics 55 Premier contact lenses.
CooperVision is the world's largest manufacturer of toric contact lenses for patients suffering from astigmatism. Based in Irvine, California, CooperVision has factories in numerous parts of the world.
Their soft toric lenses are made in Rochester, New York. Custom toric lenses, along with sphere lenses, are manufactured in Huntington Beach, California. CooperVision's Hampshire, England factory produces planned replacement lenses.
