Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Inc. entered the contact lens business in 1981 with the purchase of Frontier Contact Lenses, now known as Vistakon - a Division of Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Inc. Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, Inc. is the creator of Acuvue Brand Soft Disposable Contact Lenses, the world's first disposable soft contact lens and the world's number one prescribed contact lens.
